Maui, Hawaii

Maui's world-class windsurfing, snorkeling, diving and whale watching are legendary. In fact, thousands of humpback whales migrate to Maui’s warm waters year after year. For an adventure that is both spiritual and exhilarating, visit the 10,023-foot dormant volcano, Haleakala, to see the sunrise, and then bike all the way back to sea level. Or hike though bamboo forests to the island's many pristine waterfalls.

Lahaina is one of the main attractions on the island with an entire street of shops and restaurants which lead to a wharf that is the point of departure for a relaxing sunset cruise or whale watching journey. Hawaii's second largest island is also known as one of the great golfing playgrounds in the world with championship courses designed by the likes of Palmer, Jones, Nicklaus, and Norman.

Whatever activities you choose or time of year you visit, the Valley Isle will cast its spell and beckon you to return.

Daytime high temperatures on Maui range from about 78°F in the wintertime to about 88°F in the summertime. This slight variation in temperature during the year is due to Hawaii's proximity to the equator and the cooling effect of the surrounding ocean during the summer.
