Also known as the chocolate capital of Argentina, there are numerous artisan shops boasting exquisite homemade chocolates to treat yourself to after a busy day of hiking and biking adventures.

Bariloche experiences a range of climates throughout the year. December to March is the summer season, with warm temperatures and long daylight hours, making it perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and exploring the stunning lakes and forests. This period also offers opportunities for skiing in nearby resorts if there’s a late snow.

April to November encompasses the autumn and winter seasons. Autumn (April to June) brings cooler temperatures and colorful foliage, creating a picturesque setting for hiking and scenic drives. Winter (June to September) is characterized by cold temperatures and snow, turning Bariloche into a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding. The snow-covered landscape provides a beautiful backdrop for winter sports and cozying up by a fire in one of the region’s charming lodges.
